Hackers still took possession of some information
The Whoosh scooter rental service repelled an attack by hackers who tried to steal personal data of customers
The security service detected the possibility of leakage of personal data of the service’s customers and promptly responded. Therefore, important data was not stolen. But hackers still got access to some “fragments” of information.
It is reported that hackers managed to gain access to a phone number, email address, nickname, incomplete bank card number. But not to sensitive — the most important data.
The service has launched an internal investigation and will contact law enforcement agencies in the future.
“The leak did not affect sensitive user data, such as account access, transaction information or travel details,” Whoosh said.
